Having started out writing quality procedures and training for quality audits, moved to work as a software engineer working on the full software lifecycle: designing, documenting, reviewing, coding, testing, validating, and demonstrating to customers for over twenty years, mostly in C/C++ under UNIX, RTOS's and Windows.  Working as a consultant, at over 25 companies, from Blue Chip to small engineering companies. Industry sectors include Defence, Telecoms, Finance, Medical and Engineering on many projects, working with many hundreds of Engineers. As a result of this experience. I now believe I understand the process and the approaches commonly used that are not documented.
